Mainland United Soccer Association

COMMUNITY PARTNERS OF ATLANTIC CITY FOOTBALL CLUB

Mainland United Soccer Association (MUSA) is a volunteer run, nonprofit organization dedicated to the task of promoting and enhancing the culture of soccer in the Mainland area. We are affiliated with the New Jersey Youth Soccer Association (NJYS), as well as, U.S. Club Soccer. Participants from Somers Point, Northfield and Linwood are welcome. We are an open club, accepting players on our teams from surrounding communities. Our program offers teams for both the girls and the boys. The club offers professional training by certified staff and participates at top flights in the State of New Jersey and the Northeast Region. MUSA has quickly become an Olympic level soccer club within South Jersey Soccer League (SJSL) and has teams competing in the Eastern Development Program (EDP), Mid-Atlantic Premier Soccer (MAPS) and State Cup teams.

OUR MISSION
To encourage youth athletes to embrace the values of good sportsmanship. Interscholastic and youth sports programs play an important role in promoting the physical, social and emotional development of children. Moreover, adults involved in youth sports events should be models of good sportsmanship and should lead by example by demonstrating fairness, respect and self control.

OUR GOAL
Our focus is the development of the individual player. Our goal is to maximize the development of the individual through the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of playing soccer that challenges each player, a coaching staff that adheres to high standards of sportsmanship and fair play. Practices, events and games are designed to improve player self-confidence, ball handling, & teamwork by building and improving their skills, confidence, fitness, initiative and a sense of teamwork.

MUSA believes that the pursuit of excellence in soccer helps develop maturity and self-confidence in each player and that soccer is just as much a thinking sport as it is athleticism and agility on the field; players learn to think in real-time, adapt to changing/fluid situations and work as a team to succeed. We believe these experiences a player has will be beneficial throughout their lifetime. We encourage each player and each team to be the best that they can be.

OUR COMMITMENT
MUSA is committed to creating a competitive, supportive, challenging, and fun environment for all our players to reach their potential through the game of soccer. With commitment to our goals and appreciation for the opportunity, we accept the responsibility to develop every player to their highest level of skills, athleticism, teamwork, and leadership in soccer.

We strive to use all of our faculties – strength, spirit, courage, compassion, and intelligence – to achieve positive results on and off the playing field for our players and families. MUSA’s passionate leadership and holistic approach to long-term player development at every age group support our uncompromising resolve to be the best youth soccer club in the country. MUSA strives to be better and improve with each touch of the ball; player by player, team by team. We also strive to be a positive role model for our community.

Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City

Police Athletic League official indoor training home of the Atlantic City Football Club

Founded in 1970, the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City is approaching its fiftieth year of making positive differences in the lives of the youth of Atlantic City.

In 1973, we received our designation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and opened as a recreational center for boys, focused on basketball and boxing.

In 2001, we renovated our facilities to include a full basketball court, administrative offices, a library, two classrooms, and multipurpose space for programming. This facility enabled us to offer a wide variety of sports and recreational programs, as well as providing space for special events.

In 2017, the City of Atlantic City granted a 30-year lease for the Mayor James Usry building located at 1010 Drexel Avenue, which is directly behind our facility at 317 North Pennsylvania Avenue. Access to this facility enabled us to transfer our younger Club members to a space already equipped and designed for pre-school and elementary-aged children. The Pennsylvania facility was transformed into the state-of-the-art Center for Youth Economic Development and College Readiness, where middle and high school youth participate in specialized career development programs in culinary, STEAM, healthcare, and environmental industries.
